how is it that the average person grabs the brass ring? The time value of money wins out over the brass ring almost every time. Are we deceived into trying just to keep the wheel of the rat race turning? The struggle is worth more than the destination. Humans have an over-whelming need to struggle against odds. The worst thing that can happen is too much wealth, things that are too easy. It's not a coincidence that the Renaisance came right after the Dark Ages and the Black Plague years.
