True, some can get a lot closer than others.

But your phrase about "temperment" for it is telling. I find few people around today who are truly interested in total objectivity. Every discipline which once cherished the concept of objectivism is under fire. Journalists routinely inject opinion into news articles. Researchers have points of view, and are often of necessity in tune with the desires of what the present or prospective funding sources want to hear. Book authors must deal with publishers who are concerned with what the public will pay to read. Congressional "investigations" are almostly totally political. And on and on. There's very little true belief in objectivism left. If any.
