Hi, E!:

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Had another one of those ever-increasing elderly relative 'incidents'--81-year-old widowed aunt who insists on living in her house (two-storey) fell while pruning her roses and fractured her pelvis. I'm the only relative in this part of the world so got the phone call from a panicked neighbour. She's recuperating in the hospital now but it was bit of an ordeal for the past few days.

This market is totally on vacation and will stay that way until there's actual evidence that earnings have turned the corner--I think that will happen in early in '02 but the perfectly attuned market should be anticipating that eventuality shortly--and pigs will fly!<gg>

I'm still the incorrigible LTB&H guy--they'll probably memorialize that on my tombstone in some fashion (HE'S STILL HOLDING!). The only question will be whether eventual profits ought to be shipped upstairs or downstairs!

Your call on Golds was superb--second only to your decision to exit the market in the Spring of 2000! When do you start publishing your market letter? Do I get a discounted rate???

CD is O.K., has bogged down recently but after running up from ~9 ;ate last year, I'm not complaining. It should be good for another 50% from here over the 6-9 months--guess I'll stick it out though I may lighten up a bit and use the proceeds to buy more--yikes--techs nobody wants.

Don't know where Duane is but suspect that golf courses in Minnesota have had a significant earnings spike recently...

Continued Good Luck in your trading.

Regards,
Wolf
