Mid-20s Dr Seuss fan arrested over book borrowed in 1997

Seatle police have arrested a Mr. Queen Green, for allegedly failing to return a Dr Seuss library book called Green Eggs And Ham he borrowed in 1997.

The 65-year-old, from Seatle, was arrested after failing to appear in court to explain why he hadn't returned the book to the William P Foust Public Library.

After the arrest and cavity search, the bowl legged man posted a bond of $140 to avoid spending the night in jail.

Ben Dover, of the Westland Police Department, said: "Overall, it's kind of odd that you would arrest someone for not returning library books. But I guess the library has to do what it has to do to get its books back."
