Thank you so much! Dan is in Chicago- (not that he knows cars) and so I am calling the dealer long distance. That will take nerve for CW to go there and ask to see the strut-- but I guess he ought to learn how to do stuff like this. Actually I am mulling over what you said with some amusement as last year I replaced CW's tires because they had weird slashlike marks on the sides. The tireguy said, "jeez, look at his hubcaps. He must run into a curb every time he makes a turn. I've never seen anything like that." So........
