It is sad. How much time is wasted on political games?

I went to 7-Eleven to get my son a slurpee today. There were two boys about his age doing the same thing. The Mom came back in the store and said she needed two of whatever they were buying or they would have a problem, since there were two brothers. She remarked to me, "as my Mother taught me, do you want to share something with anyone?"

She left and I thought that is where we all go wrong, promoting selfishness, rather that selflessness. Why worry about anyone else as long as I get what I want and deserve? That is the age-old problem.

So, the attitude is why worry about someone else's unborn child if I can live my life and it does not affect me? George W. gets to be Solomon with life issues that involve government.

There is no doubt in my mind how Ronald Reagan would feel about this. To sacrifice the young for the old is always wrong.
