Note that the August 2000 and January 2001 rallies ended at the end of the month. Did this bear rally end at of June? Note that if this is the case, then two out of the three last bear market rallies ended at the end of the quarter when tech. had a good performance. Note also that the Vix hit its lows at the end of each rally (assume this is the case for June) at the end month to coincide with the rally top.
