Market is future-looking machine! It needs to have a strong catalyst for a run and MOT MSFT gave it that. Techs spending has been next to nothing so far and market is looking for the resumption of business spending. Which means more demand in the pipeline. And that is the beginning of economy recovery.

< I can certainly trade the market both ways, but how do you trade this nonsense>

the companies you said "made" money, warned pretty severly for the future...

the companies that "lost" money, did not warn, and in the case of MSFT, raised revenue estimates...even though that big charge kinda sticks out

point being, it doesn't matter what you did, but what are you doing in the future...

i would sell ANY stock that said we made money over the course of the last 3 months but are going to lose money for the next 3-6 and BUY vice versa....Money doesn't mean realized NI....increased rev's with decreasing losses is good enough.
