Perhaps they were more through than the lab you used for testing (especially for EM output over the ranges to be tested).

I doubt it. The lab I usually use is very reputable, but testing is speeded up considerably by the amount of automation they use in controlling the test equipment.

The UK testing market is well developed and quite competitive.
