Interesting day today.

First, it's extremely (and growingly) clear you won out big time with your repurchase of Qcom calls yesterday. I just saw that Q is up over 4 points today.

Second, I've about decided to stop writing ccs on Gemstar. I've just read the long interview with Peter Boylan which NY Stew posted on the Gemstar thread. The unpredictable character of those law suit settlements and the subsequent effect on the stock price leaves me a little worried. At the moment, all I see is that I will get called out on the 40s and then wait for a drop back to reestablish a Gemstar position.

Third, Siebel looks to be the more stable bet among these three.

Though, fourth, I've now established a separate bundle of cc writing shares of Network Appliance, JDSU, and i2. The premiums are low but I've bought enough shares to make it worthwhile. They seem the least likely of the stocks we are following to go anywhere in the near term. I'm keeping those separate from core holdings of each.
