>>I would not use those words.<< I would and did. CO2 is by far NOT the most significant gas to the greenhouse affect. BUT it's the gas that humans MIGHT have an impact over so it gets all the press. There is evidence of similar high rates of CO2 during the 1800's, what caused that and why didn't it create catastrophic problems then? Lastly the issue of whether global warming is even occurring is in doubt in some scientific circles. The most accurate composite measurement of Earth surface temperatures is through satellites that have actually shown some recent years as being the coldest in history not the warmest.
