I agree with your assessment of Stewart. McNair is tough as nails. He's come a long way since he's been pro.

Re: Eagles

I'm cautiously optimistic. The schedule became much tougher this year. Example: They open up with the Rams at home and then travel to Tampa the following week and they don't have the luxury of playing against Shawn King this time. (They have done well against Brad Johnson in the past). They also draw the AFC West which may be the best division in football.

Personally, I think they will be a better team than last year but the record might not show it. They upgraded their receiver corp which wasn't hard to do.

The NFC East is still mediocre so if they can figure the Jints out, they may win the NFC East but I wouldn't be surprised to see them end up 9-7 and end up with another wild card.

P.S. There are a lot of blind optimists in Philly too. I'm hearing 12 & 13 wins thrown around. My only response is - Have you looked at the schedule yet? I've used my lifetime allotment of blind optimism.

Best of luck to your Falcons as well.

The key to everything is the new OL coach, and if Tony Martin has any of his
old brilliance left at age 35.

Martin still showed flashes last time I saw him play, but he doesn't seem to have as much consistancy. He is getting hurt more, but I understand he is still fast.
