I feel the same way about the bashing of their development. Even so, it's more difficult to integrate products they acquire than to build them themselves, just cheaper in the long run because they don't have to sink the R&D. R&D is the reason the military pays such outrageous prices for their weapon systems. They have moved to trying to procure Non-developmental items and are able to save big bucks. I think in hindsight, CSCO got caught up paying too high of prices for some of the companies they acquired, but that's sunk cost now. We'll see if they're able to recover.knc

I posted that article on the MRVC thread, where there is some technical guru who thinks CSCO is unable to compete with the likes of that company. Talk about lack of common sense.

Cisco has done a large number of designs in-house.
