Plus: Jerry still is obsessive about market share gains on all costs.

There is no other way in this industry. With the kind of fixed costs they have, it is better to keep gaining share till you hit your marginal costs to produce each incremental processor.

It's even more important for AMD, if you remember from your Sanders 101 class on "Competing with the 800 lb. gorilla- Intel", "Volume is our vaccine".

Too many people have thought that they knew more than Jerry when competing against Intel- Jerry is the only one standing- with Profits to boot!

This guy know's what he's doing. If Intel was alone (like MSFT) in the processor market they would be competing with MSFT with who has larger gross margins- north of 75%.
