There it is again, the notion that Intel "started" the price war just to maintain or increase market share.

Funny how Jerry Sanders has gone from "Don't wrestle with pigs" to "Well the pigs started it."

P.S. - I'm not familiar with the battle between teachers unions and vouchers. But my guess is that this hardly applies to Intel vs. AMD. People aren't forced to support Intel with high taxes, and AMD isn't arguing for "vouchers" to get people to switch away from Intel. Yet.

There you guys go again with that nonsense. Intel cannot start a price war by setting their prices above the competition any more than you can start a shooting war by hurling your cities into the path of an incoming ICBM. AMD starts all price wars by undercutting Intel's prices. Intel responds in the spirit of true competition and you scream dirty pool!
