Ten,
RE:"McFlipFlop"
And here I was just about to stick up for you as an Intel employee posting publicly. <G>

RE:"AMD admitted (for some odd reason ... I wouldn't admit it) that 50% of their processor shipments came in June.

Intel was most likely gaining market share in April and May, which would make Paul's claims true at the time"

Paul was blowing that hot air in June.
He had no evidence one way or another.

Jim

AMD admitted (for some odd reason ... I wouldn't admit it) that 50% of their processor shipments came in June.

The positive spin on that fact would be the claim that 1 - Demand for CPUs is recovering and 2 - AMD gained a lot of acceptance during this Q.

The negative spin would be the claim that AMD stuffed the channel big time in June.

Another possible negative spin would be that AMD didn't stuff the channel or at least did not do so deliberately but that the huge orders in June are an aberration and that afterwards AMD will return to the demand levels of April or May.

Could be any of these, or parts of each, or something else that I'm not clever enough to think of at the moment.
