OK, you have my attention. Tell me exactly how Oracle has a better roadmap for the Internet vis a vis IBM's DB2 and Microsoft's SQL Server.
Answer: Application cluster. They can scale better and are fault tolerant. Watch orcl's analyst day on orcl's web site for a overview of what their doing. It is six hours long but might make you some money.

Tell me how Oracle's web application server is better than IBM's WebSphere (the fastest growing web app platform in the industry), WebLogic's (the biggest market share), and Sun's.
Answer: It is the fastest web server in the market and they have bundled all the features in an appliance like device. You can only buy it bundled a couple of different ways. Very similar to how the japanese revolutionized the car industry in the u.s. (i.e., basic version and loaded). easier to scale and solve technical problems the customer might have. in fact, orcl has followed msft's roadmap. they have bundled the database, apps server and end user applications just like msft bundled word, excel, powerpoint, etc.

one thing i almost forgot. everything is java enabled (i.e., open source) and that is where the market is going.

lesson number one is over. i will schedule monday and wednesday lessons on how orcl is going to kick internet ass for those who want to attend.
rocky.
