campaign reform
Not all members of either party want campaign finance reform. The majority of the country wants it, but just like Junior George sometimes a minority is in charge.

I just appreaciate the tactics this time. Richard Mellon Scaife is back at work setting up a scandle to divert attention from the issue of campaign finance reform. All republicans and an number of democrats are succors for this type of scandle, and he used his ties with Murdock of FOX news, CNN, and MSNBC to completly tie up coverage.

The winning play was by the moderate forces which postponed the debate for the next couple of months with a procedural play. It's going to be real tough for Scaife to keep the Condif momentum going for that period of time. He has to find a whole new diversion.
TP

(Mark my words, starting tonight there will be a race between cable networks to find another story, any other story to replace Condit, unfortunately some networks will just be stuck with it since they devoted their entire staff to reading Scaife memos)
