I have had some bad stuff from Compaq and know people who dispise them. I have had good luck with HP. Dell has the best reputation, but I have never owned one.

Good luck,

John

Shaw and all: Thanks for all input on computer suggestions. Still deciding on which way to go. I am leaning towards a Dell but I would have to wait for a week to get it. I could pick up a Compaq Presario 5000 today at Best Buy but am trying to reign in my immediate gratification. lol

Meanwhile, I have my dinosaur on life support again as it is in "low mode" capability and barely out of safe mode.

Best Regards, J.T.
