I ran into this. But it was a unique situation. I was travelling back & forth to Argentina, monthly, for near a year. A few times a flight attendent said, "gald you are back with us Mr. A.... I decided then, I was travelling too much! LOL

However, that was a unique time in my life, not the norm.

But I do understand your sentiments.
