"NEW YORK -- As the economy goes these days, so goes electronic commerce.

With the general economic slowdown continuing, high-profile consumer e-commerce companies are expected to see modest revenue growth from the first quarter to the second, although Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN) will likely see a sequential decline.

That trend comes as overall consumer spending appears lukewarm. Economists expect overall retail sales to have risen 0.3% in June, implying about a 2.5% annual rate of growth in personal consumption for the second quarter.
"

Excuse me but on-line selling is still gorwing quite rapidly even if the consumer spending in general is down.
