Tualatin Enigma reaches conclusion

Desktops en route
By Mike Magee, 13/07/01 09:09:41 BST

OUR GOOD friends at Xbit Labs posted some more information about the now famous Tualatin .13 micron processors which you can find here.
The site also links to this Intel page here, which is a datasheet for the S370 processors.

Intel launches its mobile Tualatins on the 15th of July, unless it has ripped up its plans again - you can find details of those price moves here.

The server Tualatins which use copper technology and have 512K of cache have been with La Intella's PC customers since May, and will find their way into slim "pizza box" configurations, and very fine units they'll be, we'll be bound.

And the desktops, which have 256K of on die cache disabled, arrive shortly after the mobiles and include the 1.13GHz "Pabster Special" but re-incarnated as a chip that works. We think it's the last week in July they're supposed to hit the streets.

But they, like the lovely swifts that are flying around our gaff at the moment, will head for different climes all too soon. µ
