Let's euthanize our economically challenged elders and scuttle SS

No one has proposed this. Bush has proposed a gradual approach to moving away from SS, as opposed to waiting on it to fail requiring a bailout our country simply doesn't have the wherewithall to do.

Can't you see that SS cannot continue? Isn't it obvious to you, intelligent liberal that you are, that the program has run its course and that those people at the bottom of this pyramid scheme are already destroyed by it? Can't you see that stopping it now is the way to minimize the destruction?

You obviously have no understanding whatsoever of the structural and accounting problems at SSA. Anytime you want to open your mind to learn about the greatest threat ever to face our nation, just say so; I'll be pleased to fill you in.

The budget surplus we have today is largely the result of the tax increase of 1993 and economic expansion of the last 10 years. Guess who played a major role in both of these acts.

Who? I can't think of anyone who was a major player in both of these acts.
