getting your garbage collected, providing utilities, repairing roads, policing the streets, etc. I can't speak for you, but where I live the federal government is not involved in any of these activities. But the state does have a big role in providing utiilities in California. They're great at it, too, as we all know. I do want to see the nation come back to its roots, providing only those functions that are legitimate functions of government and getting out of the wealth redistribution business. While there were foolish liberals at the time of the nation's founding, the founding fathers were aware of the dangers of following that path. Now, 200 years later, the viability of the nation is facing serious threat because of liberal programs that have, over the years, made their way into government.
