That has a few little side effects too.
As I said, a few sentences are not adequate to describe the ramifications of income tax policy. I just wanted to show a simple example of negative feedback in action. The conservative and in particular libertarian view seems to be to do nothing and let the cycles grow and collapse on their own. Those cycles can be dramatic and violent.
