Maybe we need a new word for sentinent for this discussion since y'all seem unable to make any kind of inference as to what I mean by person. Of course since you cut out all the self-aware stuff it wouldn't be very clear. Not everything with a full functioning set of human chromosomes is going to become an independant self aware being. There are immortal (sic) cancer cells, ordinary cells separated from the body, and various reproductive cells. It is only by recognizing this complexity of life that one can hope to come to grips with issues such as stem cell research, cloning, and artificial reproductive techniques. TP
