In November of 1998, scientists reported that they had successfully isolated and cultured human embryonic stem cells--a feat which had eluded researchers for almost two decades. Scientists believe that these cells will allow them to grow tissue which may be used to restore the health of persons suffering from Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, heart disease, diabetes, and other afflictions.............are you willing to let these diseases ravage humans.......or you for the advancement of medical science. I guess engineers know zilch about medicine.

You are showing an amazing lack of intelligence with your post. It looks like you are saying if one cannot think they have no "human characteristics". Is that a correct assessment?

dear 8419138, Your total stupidity of response. Where do I begin to answer such a stupid post.
>>>>Do you think an embryo can think??? It has no bearing on the definition of life by Scientists on record. Now you must look up the meaning of the word only.

Only an embryo is a cell or cells having characteristics that have the ability to cell differentiation that is a human if placed in the natural environment of a typical human life.

It is not just a cluster of cells. Now the only thing in the post you responded to having to do with thinking is the implicit concept that one who knows how to read and has an understanding of what words mean would know that silly proffers on what one wishes to be in the definition of human has nothing to do with the current accepted definition of scientists.

You choose a different legal definition to justify your believe in the Hitler Proffer. It is not human, kill the Jew. I call it murder. I like using simple words.

you all have a nice day now hear.

Of course human embryos can't think. But no other kinds of cells have the potential to become full sized humans either. I'm not against stem cell research but seems to me it is silly to argue these cells are not of a greater order than plants or animals.
