CDMA2000 is a cute niche technology. In a year, there will be one heck of a lot more WCDMA users in Japan alone than CDMA2000 users worldwide.

Caxton,

<< The key is number of subs and growth of subs, the rest is fluff. >>

That's right.

<< What are you going to say in a year that when there are 5 million CDMA2000 subs and still 0 WCDMA subs? >>

Whoops, Golly Gee.

15 million GPRS subs, 5 million CDMA2000 subs, .5 million WCDMA subs.

Then come 2005 end we can say:

600 million GPRS subs, 500 million GSM subs, 365 million cdmaOne/cdma2000 Subs, 10 million or more WCDMA subs.

Would you mind if I paraphrased your question from yesterday, just in jest because I don't like the word lying, when applied to companies I invest in or their leaders? Was Dr. Irwin Mark Jacobs "lying" last year when he showed the Whelan, Volpe, Brown, forecast through 2005 and declared after 2005 it's all CDMA.

Best,

- Eric -
