As I stated before, I believe that no religion is inherently better than another, one can strive to be a decent person within any religious (or secular) tradition. But if being a Jew complements your soul, makes you feel whole and true, then that is great, then that is the way for you. There is much that is very uplifting in the Jewish tradition.
What bothers me is the websites that you reference – they are anti-semitic and racist and paranoid. That they may contain some intriguing information is not a redeeming feature IMO. What interesting information there may be, it is used to draw in the reader and then to inject his mind with venom of bigotry. The notion of communal traits, ascribing individual characteristics to a large group of people, is just not a rational concept. In any group you will find a spectrum of qualities and opinions, you will find people that are good, bad and everything in between. But anyway, good luck with your search.

found that the adl has done some good; for instance in helping support the south african government against communist ('anti-apartheid') forces.

ROFL!
