John, Re: "You don't even recognize that someone is trying to be a neutral observer, attempting to figure a solution to the problem."

I have followed your posts and if this has been your intention then you have my appreciation. Construction commentary is appreciated and I have already been considered a "heretic" droid and hopefully would be more fairly considered an investor/trader/computer enthusiast who shares a productive dialog with peers here at SI.

I hope you also have a pleasant weekend (and I look forward to some possible rain for the greenery outside).

Sincerely,

-PT

John,

I tend to agree with you.

Lots of people here in love with AMD the stock.

Hope you keep posting.

Have a good weekend.

regards,

Kash

<< You are so over the wall in love with AMD, you can't see the problem. You don't even recognize that someone is trying to be a neutral observer, attempting to figure a solution to the problem. >>

What in my previous post or in any of my communications with you leads you to this conclusion? I haven't said anything positive about AMD's prospects in our discussion.

I think we just disagree with what the problem is. You think the problem is AMD can't command high enough ASP's because of their marketing.

I think they can't command high ASP's because the overall supply of CPU's greatly outstrips demand, and the cheaper cpus are almost indistinguishable from the more expensive ones in performance on everyday applications.

It seems that I think the cpu industry is in trouble overall, whereas you think just AMD is in trouble. Maybe after Intel's earnings we'll find out which is theory is correct.

<< I don't think you even recognize there is a problem. >>

I've sold all my AMD stock, so if that doesn't speak loudly enough to whether I feel there's a problem, I don't know what would.
