cfoe: Agree we should "keep our heads".

But let's be practical, Tero is the lead "wireless" person who will "objectively" [chuckle] evalutate the Qualcomm results.

No one in his right mind would pay any attention.

But "the Street will".

So it will take a few days for reality to sink in.

Best.

Price actions of QCOM and NOK have become significantly decoupled in recent trading:

60 day comparison -

The last graph seems most illustrative: "decoupling" seemed to have begun at the beginning of June.

There are insights that can be extracted from mundane numbers. <g>

I agree with your comments on valuation but I disagree with your views on QCOM-NOK deal. IMO, the market used the lack of a NOK 3G license to assign a risk to the QCOM investment thesis. Now that the NOK risk has been removed, QCOM should be valued higher. NOK's prospects for next quarter and even next year are irrelevant. I think even most analysts understand that QCOM's upgrade cycle is very different from NOK's. Once the market realizes that 1x and 1xev are 3G and that they are not delayed for 5 years, the "3G Delay" risk will also be removed.
