Well, if it's natural and understandable that he would lie about having an affair with her, isn't it just as natural and understandable that he would lie about possibly being involved in her murder?

"I did not have sexual relations with with that woman! I did kill her, sure, but we never, ever had sex."

Have you ever lied about anything? Ever?

Taxes, driving while under the influence.......inhaling.<g>

As a nation, we just love to throw those stones and all the while, we're working hard on keeping our skeletons in check. None of us are immune to the human faux pas. Murder, incest, rape, arson, kidnapping.......those are more than just the faux pas, those are the serious crimes.

Adultery, while not something that we'd like to have happen in our happy world, is something that does happen but isn't a criminal act. And, like you said, most people would and do lie about it first.

What concerns me most is this girl is missing, the Congressman hasn't done much in the way of helping the situation and then after many months of begging and pleading, he comes down off high and makes the big production of how he's helping out by doing things that he knows his attorney would disapprove of. It reeks.......
