Hi Jim, Historically Central Bank Intervention has not been successful, Robert Rubin, was said to have had
some success, but this was ascribed to Rubin waiting until the Market trend had turned, and then his
intervention campaigns were in the direction of the prevailing trend.

but I think that the remnants of the boom psychology still inhabit the markets - witness the recent rally on news that pales in significance to the accumulating global negatives.

I agree, you definitely see cross currents of these two different types of behavior. I read a nice piece on this that
I'll post later today.
