insook, cash, unless you KNOW something. the positive spiral caused a huge cliff. the positive spiral had HUGE momentum. ez credit, new economy hype, start nonviable business with massive capital, increase employment, create demand that should not have existed, increase earnings for suppliers, more new economy hype, more capital made available to markets... etc...

the downward spiral will do the same thing. businesses fail, unemployment goes up, credit gets pinched, demand gets reduced, businesses fail, unemployment goes up, credit gets pinched.

the gogo days are over, imho. especially when msft has earnings contraction and trades at a 40 pe.

my best advice is go to work for a company you would invest in and take a generous options package. you get all the upside with little risk.

Insook, Alas, now that I am working on my stock broker's merit badge, my internet stock picking days are over. Something about going to jail and being fined all of my money and all that has definitely made me pay attention. <g>

I hope you do great with your investments.
