I am editing my post and asking again. I thought you didn't want me posting to you. but WHY should it be at birth... For legal convienence. Birth is prior to the period of self awareness and is a definite event. This allows enforcement of the laws and regulations. Any earlier event is ambiguous and difficult to test. Any later event is also ambiguous and can overlap with the development of self awareness. Birth is the point where it's no longer the mother's choice but the babies right. TP
