-- KTB Network, the Korea's largest venture capital firm, is planning to invest about 10 billion won (US $ 7.7 million) during the rest of the year, according to business information on Korea oceanvu2 has read.

-- Thus SPDi is more than 10% of its investment pool for the rest of the year.

-- All totaled, the five largest Korean venture capital investment operations invested only US$95.5 million so far this year in Korean companies and that was only 25% of their investment rate of last year.

-- The economic slowdown going on is one reason. But SPDi was at the top of the list for investment in these conservative economic times because of its growth possibilities. Most analysts predicted that Korea would have no new investments made in Internet companies and venture start ups. Only investments in expanded industries.

-- SPDi is the one venture startup turning out to be financed by the Korean venture capital firms that is an exception to the prediction that no new vnture companies would be financed.

-- Besides the confirmation of automotive orders from the likes of Daimler-Chrysler, Hankuk's July 4 announcement of its investment sponsorship is good news because it indicates another validation by others of the manufacturing capacity of Hankuk coming on line and the perception of the reality of the market for REFR's SPD technology.
