Paul, Thanks for the information. I had expected that some of the AMD patents would be sellable to Intel.
Possibly they are, however the value may not be enough to tilt the net cash flow away from Intel to AMD. Future patents may allow for such equalization or even a tilt towards AMD in this venue.
AMD after all is now doing some very effective research and there is an excellent chance of parity at some future time.

Why does Intel licence at all? Does AMD in fact have some key patents and is able to force the issue, or is the heavay hand of the DOJ in evidence here?
