HJ: The slowdown is universally recognized -- that is not the issue. The issue is when does it end and how bad does it get. I am saying it does not end as quickly as some would have you believe and it seems most likely to get worse from here. That, in my opinion, is not priced into the market.

BTW HJ, you left out a couple of very positive things for the world economy -- China's entry into the WTO and their successful bid for the Olympic Games. Both will help the US economy substantially.
