Here's is what Ari Fleischer said about the initiative during a press briefing: "Q On global warming, the statement that you just put out, is that the extent of what the President plans to bring to the allies in America about his solution to global warming, or is this just like a first -- MR. FLEISCHER: No, this is a first step that the administration is taking. This is in follow-up to what the President announced last month, about the effort to combat global warming. The President today announced a series of specific initiatives that the administration is going to undertake to combat global warming. And the global climate working group continues its efforts on a more broad approach." whitehouse.gov He talks about global warming, and the efforts to combat it. Sounds like fighting global warming to me. Moreover, I did not say anything about GW flip-flopping. He would have to actually take a position before he could do that. I said he admitted it's a problem. Seems to me you don't need to combat something unless it's a problem.
