"This applies to the AThWiper aMPty - still no design wins except from CrackServer and Jack-In-The-Boxx?"

On the otherhand, there are a shortage of AthlonMPs, several people have tried to buy them and have been told that AMD is allocating them. So maybe those two and the white box market are doing well with them.

Any Tualatin systems shipping yet? They seem to be pretty thin on the ground...

Dear Paul:

With all your complaining about Athlon MP, you seem to forget that Intel now has big server troubles. It seems that the 900 MHz Xeon has been pulled again from the market: ebnews.com . I wonder how long it will take before they get it right!

Intel's disappearing reputation just got blasted again! I wonder how many more recalls will it take before even strident supporters like DELL finally say "no thanks!" They apparently have to go out and replace all 900 MHz chips with 700 MHz ones. Another field trip to customers to slow them down. More money down the tubes, or is Intel going to pay for the on site service costs? It could be another hit, unless they only sold a few dozen with all the hype.

What's the delay for another respin? 3 months? I guess AMD will have a windfall of MP servers due to customer's saying to Intel and its OEMs, "forget this sh**! At least they are stable and we don't get recalls! They fix before they ship!"

Another hint that the Q2 earnings and CC will be depressing! you complain when your feet get wet on Intel's ship. If it continues to sink, you will be seeking life preservers and jumping ship.

Pete
