He seems to have a firm grasp on not owing his constituents anything. Nothing to worry about there.

If protecting his family from harm was his first concern, exercising a little self-restraint in the first place would have been a more productive path than lying about it afterwards. Probably didn't occur to him, though.

How did Clinton's lies end up protecting his family?

Whether Condit had anything to do with Ms Levy's disappearance and/or demise still remains to be seen. You can not compare this with Clinton's folly, Monica wasn't missing and presumed dead (though I am sure many would have liked her to be).

I do believe that Condit made his own bed by not coming forward and telling the police everything he knew. He deserves being sliced and diced by the press and the American public.

Condit is a prime example of all that is wrong with politicians today. More interested in their own pocketbooks and ego's than the public they serve.

"Democrats are not prone to commit crimes."

Can you post a link or cite a source for this, please?

It would be a noble gesture on Condit's part, but I think you're giving him way too much credit... I doubt if he would ever apologize... at least, not until the day he faces sentencing..... a leopard doesn't change his spots for anything or anyone.....

I broached the subject the other night on another thread and was viciously attacked!

At first I never even mentioned Condit, only Democrats.
