"the longer this thing drags out the harder it is for msft"
Lawyers who, by the way, would benefit with greater fees the longer it drags out, know by experience, the longer they can stall the courts, "The better it is for the defendant". Over time, witnesses die off, evidence fades or is replaced with updates, more time for the defense to prepare, etc. That truth holds for individuals as well as large corporations.
