According to the folks on this thread, Gore pulled every trick in the book to win, while GW was simply playing by the rules. While I didn't need any convincing that that was blind nonsense, the Time's article confirms it yet again. And these folks think that GW would have walked away on the day after the election if he had been 500 votes behind? Yeah, right. Baker, DeLay and their boys would have made the Gore folks look like choirboys.

The nation-wide Democratic fraud attempts fell a few votes short in Florida, but instead of remembering that they need to be circumspect in manufacturing votes, they engaged in a losing charade for 5 weeks that highlighted their electoral fraud for the entire country to see. They will now have to put up with increasing numbers of localities returning to prudent integrity procedures that they had been talked into abandoning over the years in the interests of "participation". The nation has now re-learned the valuable lesson that Democrats pumping "participation" are covering their vote manufacturing machine, rather than trying to "improve" democracy.

What we need is a new "zero tolerance" movement nationwide. People who vote more than once need to serve time. And party officials who create votes that don't exist need to serve hard time.

Scratch out Perot's phony "Take soft money, go to jail." and replace it with "Commit voter fraud, go to jail." It works for America...

>He couldn't even win one big state save Texas.
>He lost NY,PA and CA,ILL, and Mich..

washingtonpost.com

Well, all of the "big" states you have mentioned that Bush
lost (except for CA) seem to be getting a lot *SMALLER*
according to the 2000 census.

So it appears that people are also "voting with their feet".
<grin>

These changes in the electoral college will be reflected
in the 2004 election.

By the way, California's problems have only recently
come home to roost, so I seriously doubt that the next
census (in 2010) is going to be kind to them either...
