They will often reference the former president, Bill Clinton, and occasionally the former Vice President, Al Gore. They may go so far as to describe you as a fan of one or both of those gentlemen. They will make ad hominem attacks on the reporter or call the paper 'liberal' rather than respond to any specific fact or idea presented. They will make liberal use of the word 'liberal.' They will reply unsubstantively yet emotionally vividly. Smilies will have their place. They will make helpful constructive comments on your sexual orientation, fondness for animals (in that special way) and possibly, point out areas where your spouse might find you deficient. They will reference ALL democratic politicians who have ever done anything "wrong" and throw them into any argument. They show special fondness for any politician(s) who might be in the news of the moment (because they have short memories). There will be interminable references to this person or these persons. They will talk about a past that never was, and a future that would include only people like themselves. I've left a lot out. But I'm going out to breakfast. That seems like more fun. Know what I mean?
