Applied Digital Solutions (ADSX: news, msgs, alerts) rose 8 cents, or 25 percent, to 40 cents on heavy volume of 36.9 million shares, putting it in fourth place on the Nasdaq volume chart behind heavyweights such as Cisco Systems, Intel and Sun Microsystems. The company has secured a contract with a potential value of $45 million to provide the wiring and networking infrastructure for the District of Columbia's school system. The shares hit a 52-week low of 25 cents on July 11. After hours, shares traded at 41 cents......."

It was on CBS radio, on their 5 minute business news update. The announcer mentioned that they signed a deal with the D.C. School system, and that the volume was over 30 Million. He said it was a stock to watch.
