And, here is the Silicon Valley real estate view from ground zero. My neighbor put his San Jose townhouse up for sale at $505k in late March. He's down to $437.5k now and still no offers. The original $505k asking price was set by a pretty savvy realtor, in February he could probably have got it.

Articles in the Merc this past 2 weeks suggest this is a general trend in the Bay Area. Compared to the bubble peak, prices are off 15% at the low end (sub $700k), 25% at the high end (over $1 mil).
