No they were the wrong moves. AMD has yet to come close to recovering the costs of aquiring NexGen plus the losses they suffered for years afterwards. In addition they sold off profitable divisions to fund Jerry's Holy War. Where's the sense in that? All in all, terrible decisions. Now AMD is facing a return to red ink, a product line that is becoming uncompetative and no support for their future product line.
