What I said was that Intel only had samples up until the beginning of Q2 2001, with meaningful volumes starting before the middle of Q2 2001. Until that time, Intel's 0.13-micron process technology was not proven in production. It most certainly is proven, at least to the extent that their 0.18-micron process was in October 1999, by now.

Sure, O.K., I guess you could consider the units manufactured up until the beginning of Q2 to be "samples". Whatever pleases you. Point is, intel is now in volume production on 0.13u, and AMD is not.
