An interesting comment from another board which IMO says quite a lot about the way many people are using the Internet.

"I'm not surprised truck delivery is down. It's unbelievable the stuff I used to send via Fedex and UPS every night that I now send via digital delivery."

Just a few years ago banking online, sending photos over the Internet, email to friends and relatives who are traveling, and phone calls over the Internet where things I never considered. Now if I don't have a DSL (or better) connection available, I get annoyed by the slow speed of the Internet.

I now have a wireless laptop that is networked with the DSL connection, so I can use it anywhere in my house or yard. I recently read an article that stated many airports, and hotels are developing wireless networks. I believe Starbucks is planning wireless access in many of their stores...a great idea, IMO!
