You are not reading very closely between the lines. Sanders stated, "In aggregate Duron/Athlon sales were up.", which implies that sales of one of these two were down. Guess which one. Even so, with less than 3.1 million Athlons sold, Athlon has probably outsold P4.

Speaking of "foisting on customers", that's probably the only way P4's in q2 approach 4 million...and if 4 million, then P4 ASP's are likely into the toilet which can't do much for INTC ASP's...Let's see, now...AMD's ASP dropped by 15% in Q2...now a comparable drop in iNTC ASP's takes a minimum $600 million off the bottom line compared to q1, which if true, is downright frightening in its impact on q2 eps, wouldn't you think? Not just red, but BIG RED if INTC ASP's got dinged 15% in q2...unless of course INTC sold 8 million P4's in q2.

If you say so.

Let's see if any hints are given during the call.

Rambus implied about 1.8 million P4s sold during Q2 in their recent call - half of what you claim.
